Clark College is located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. Parking maps and directions are available at www.clark.edu/maps.
It began with family and friends walking across the Clark College campus. Now, as it celebrates its fifth year, the Kalani Rodrigues Memorial Scholarship Run/Walk is taking a big step forward as Southwest Washington's new 10K run. The event, which is held in memory of Clark College alumnus Kalani Rodrigues, will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27. The 10K run will begin at 8 a.m. at the Clark College Christensen Soccer Field, located on the west side of Fort Vancouver Way north of McLoughlin Blvd. Maps and parking directions are available at www.clark.edu/maps. The 10K Run will be an open-course, timed event. Runners -- including Clark College President Robert K. Knight -- will enjoy a dynamic route through downtown Vancouver, along the Columbia River and through the beautiful Fort Vancouver National Site. The route will conclude at the landmark Clark College Chime Tower. Event organizers believe that many runners will be drawn to the K-Rod Run as an outstanding opportunity to prepare for the Portland Marathon on Oct. 4. At 8:30 a.m., the traditional 5K Walk will take place across Clark's main campus. Both events will be followed by a post-run luau hosted by the Clark College Penguin Athletic Club. The luau is open to all pre-registered participants and will include food and beverages. For more information or to download a registration form, visit http://www.clarkcollegefoundation.org/77.php or call 360-992-2301. Same day registration will begin at 7 a.m. at Clark College.
