The Wellness Project, a program of Community Services Northwest, is the only free mental health clinic in Southwest Washington, and one of only about five in the country. At the Wellness Project we provide mental health treatment and medication management, housing and other vital services to uninsured Clark County adults -- completely free of charge. The Wellness Project can remain a free clinic because it is staffed by volunteer counselors -- dedicated, qualified, professional clinicians and graduate student interns, who provide the highest-quality care available anywhere. Last year alone, The Wellness Project had over 1,900 visits; demand for services is increasing dramatically, and the waiting list is now over 100.
Please help us honor our wonderful volunteers, without whom The Wellness Project could not exist, by attending our 3rd Annual Recognition Dinner, April 27, 2009, 6:00 pm-9:00 pm, at the Heathman Lodge. Special Guest Speaker will be Kate Comtois, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences,University of Washington: "Community Impact of
Mental Health Therapy and New Developments in Treatment and Recovery."
