L&I Conference Room Just north of Mill Plain in Cascade Park
Three workshops built into one day of interaction and networking focused on volunteer management. This conference is intended for people who work with and manage volunteers. * Session One: The Best for the Best This session will help organizations get the right volunteers. In these times of economic uncertainty, people are looking for opportunities to get involved, gain experience and do good, but recruiting the right people for the right positions is still key. * Session Two: Ethical Decision Making Everyone wants to ''do the right thing,'' but sometimes no decision seems right for everyone concerned. Learn a method for making sound and defensible ethical decisions by weighing their impact on all the stakeholders and their values. * Session Three: Riding the Waves Trends affecting volunteer engagement. Explore a half dozen trends and some ways to ride the waves toward your program goals.
