Vancouver, WA – The Nonprofit Network of Southwest Washington presents an interactive class entitled ''Recruiting for a High-performing Board.'' The class will focus on how organizations can attract new board members and be sure on compatibility. Facilitated by board expert Randa Cleaves, the class will take place Tuesday, November 7th from noon to 2:00 P.M. at Little Italy's Trattoria (901 Washington St., Vancouver, WA). The class will evaluate organizations' internal readiness for new board members and examine how to identify current board strengths and weaknesses. It will then address how to develop a clear process of communicating what the organization is about and how it operates to ensure that the new board prospect fits in. The class will provide checklists and handouts, as well as plenty of time for questions. The class facilitator, Randa Cleaves, has 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector as a staff member, volunteer, board member, and consultant to a variety of organizations.
