BURGERVILLE AND HOUGH FOUNDATION TEAM...

Description

Vancouver, Wash. – June 23, 2010 – Not only does Burgerville serve the freshest fast food in the Northwest, the restaurant chain will also serve the local community by donating a portion of sales made at the downtown restaurant location to the Hough Foundation. All are invited to drive in and pick up dinner on Friday, June 25, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to help support a philanthropic cause. The restaurant, located at 307 E. Mill Plain Boulevard, will donate 10 percent of sales made during this time to the Hough Foundation, a non-profit organization that serves Hough Elementary School and the Hough neighborhood in Vancouver. After picking up dinner, participants are encouraged to walk or drive to Marshall Park or Esther Short Park for an evening picnic. Burgerville's donation will help provide support to the foundation's Family Service Center, which offers early intervention for families in need of social services, and more than 12 enrichment programs to students, teachers, parents and the community. With 53 percent of Hough Elementary students living at or below the poverty level and nearly 25 percent receiving special education services, the need for program funding is great. The current menu specials at Burgerville include the Grilled Coho Salmon Sandwich and Golden Fried Asparagus. A full Burgerville menu, including seasonal menu items, as well as driving directions are available online at www.burgerville.com.
