Vancouver resident Jade Samples, 17, is in need of a life-saving kidney transplant. There will be a fundraiser for COTA (Children's Organ Transplant Association), in honor of Jade, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, 19171 SE Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 107, Vancouver. Just say you are here for the fundraiser at checkout and 20% of your purchase will go to support COTA, in honor of Jade, for transplant-related expenses. At age 16, Jade was diagnosed with lupus nephritis, and is experiencing kidney failure.
