CSD Mars Colony Development Mentoring

Description

6th grade student groups are creating scale models and presentations about proposed colonies to support human life on Mars. 5 volunteers representing industries of architecture, agriculture, energy, technology, local government/city planning or waste management are invited to interact with students while they form their design plans. Volunteer experts would interact informally with different small groups of students, asking about their plans and helping them consider modifications to their Mars colony design based on the expert's experiences.We would like the volunteers to share how their job/career impacts the quality of life for people on earth and how that should translate to a colony of humans on Mars.
