Emotional Intelligence: Embrace Reali...

Description

Overview Although many factors influence our personal productivity, how we use our time is the factor over which we have the greatest control. The paradox of time management is that no one has enough and yet everyone has all there is. The key is to make sure that we align how we spend our time with our priorities. The purpose of this section is to become more effective in how we use our time. We cannot do everything. The essence of time management is being able to decide what is most important and then organizing ourselves to give time to these priorities. This is the essence of personal productivity. Key topics for this session include: Personal Productivity - Develop an understanding of personal productivity and the difference between time management and time leadership - Assess how you currently use your time - Isolate the barriers that keep you from managing your time more effectively - Learn the difference between ''important'' and ''urgent'' and how to schedule the time for the important - Learn to set professional goals to guide your use of time - Learn a systematic approach to managing daily events The sessions are upbeat, interactive and informative. Participants will have an opportunity to learn new skills and meet other business leaders from the Portland/Vancouver area representing a variety of functions and industries. We utilize discovery and facilitation more than lecture and instruction, creating an environment of real learning.
