Skamania Lodge's big backyard, the Columbia River Gorge, is home to a wide range of locally produced fruits, cheeses and wines. On Saturday, September 26 through Sunday, September 27 and Saturday, October 3 through Sunday, October 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, Skamania Lodge will host a variety of Columbia River Gorge growers, vintners and cheesemakers for free activities and demonstrations showcasing the bounty of their fall harvests. Guests can enjoy cooking demonstrations at 2:30 p.m. on both Saturdays, wine receptions on the Friday and Saturday evenings of those weekends, and samplings of the cheeses, wines and locally grown produce for which the region is famous—apples, pears, huckleberries, hazelnuts, mushrooms, and various honeys, jams and preserves—throughout both weekends. In addition, guests can try seasonal cocktail specials, including the Huckleberry Splash, Pear Cooler and Cider Whiskey Sour. Skamania Lodge will serve a special menu in The Cascade Room throughout both weekends with dishes that celebrate the bounty of the season.
