The Nonprofit Network of Northwest Washington presents an interactive, constructive workshop in the art of grant writing success. Taught by freelance writer & consultant Sara Behrman, the workshop, entitled ''Grants Evaluation: Defining Success'' will be held October 25 from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at City University. The workshop focuses on the portion of grant preparation in which a grant writer formulates an evaluation plan for their project. Some components to be addressed include: purpose of evaluation, types of evaluations, creating an evaluation plan, and writing an evaluation report. Presenter Sara Behrman has been a freelance writer and consultant, providing grant writing expertise and project management to librarians, educators, and nonprofit organizations for more than 25 years. She has written more than 400 federal, state, regional, and local grant applications and has succeeded in garnering more than $30 million dollars in resources. Cost of the workshop is $85 ($75 for NPN Members) - includes materials and lunch. Registration can be done at http://www.npnnw.org/wa/network/nw/C77/ or by calling the Nonprofit Network at (360) 695-6443 extension 13 (ask for Jeanne Kojis).
