From Portland: « Take the I-84 E towards THE DALLES. Continue East on I-84 until the Cascade Locks/Bridge of the Gods/Stevenson Exit (#44). Take the Bridge of the Gods over the Columbia River ($1.00 toll), then turn right (east) onto Hwy 14. Proceed approximately 12miles- Dog Mountain trailhead is on the North side of Hwy 14 at milepost 53. Park in the parking lot. From Vancouver « Option 1: Take HWY 14 East, Dog Mountain trailhead is on North side of Hwy 14 at Milepost 53 (about 12 miles east of The Bridge of the Gods). Park in the parking lot. « Option 2: Many Vancouverites prefer to go through Oregon to get to this trailhead. Just take I-205 South to I-84 East towards The Dalles/Hood River and follow the directions listed above. REACH THE PEAK OF DOG MOUNTAIN! At a challenging 7.1 miles, Dog Mountain won't let you down. On a clear day, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams are all visible from the top. Whether you're an avid hiker or this will be your first Northwest Hike, you'll have a fabulous experience. If you've never done this particular hike before, let us show you this incredible trail in a safe and guided environment. The sense of accomplishment you'll feel at the end of the day knowing you've done a good thing for you health and for an important cause will be amazing. All the proceeds from the event will go to the American Heart Association Go Red Campaign.
