So You Think You Can Dance...Hula!

Hapa haole music lives! Join us to watch and enjoy a celebration of Waikiki's wacky era of hula and music. Solo categories include Ms. Hapa Haole (age 12-18), Ms. Sophisticated Hula (age 19 and above), and Comic Hula (age 18 and above). Group categories are Kupuna (age 55 and above), Wahine Group (age 14 and above), and Keiki Group (age 13 and under). In keeping with the hapa-haole (half Hawaiian, half Caucasian) tradition, all songs within each category must be sung in English and the theme of the performance must be about Hawai`i. Contestants in this first-ever Pacific Northwest event are coming from Washington, Oregon and California, hoping to favorably impress the judges brought in from Hawai`i. FREE ADMISSION for the public!
