SW SHRM’s First Annual Diversity & Inclusion Workshop promises to be an exciting day with engaging presenters and a panel to provide answers to questions sharing how to build equality in your workforce! Paul Brown and Marcus Carter will open the day with an exciting conversation relating to “Diversity and Inclusion Beyond Hiring”. They will speak to recruiting resources and developing inclusive spaces that lead to better retention of diverse team members. As leaders in the Portland community, they have seen a variety of successful and unsuccessful efforts to diversity workforces. They will offer first-hand insights to the challenges of creating true inclusion in the workplace. Our 4-person panel includes professionals from a variety of backgrounds that will offer keen insights to questions asked by you, our audience. Our closing speaker, Dolly England, has a background in diversity outreach and will speak on “Equity in Hiring”. Dolly will offer some great insight on how to recruit the most diverse team for your company.
