Please join the GVCC on Tuesdays and Thursdays in March for our eight-part workshop series, Take Aim with Google, presented by Comcast Business. Doors will open for each workshop at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served by Simply Thyme Catering. Each instructor will begin promptly at noon.

3/6: Top Free Google Tools for Business

Presenter: Dr. Dene Grigar, WSU Vancouver

Description: So you think Google is just a site to search for information? Think again! Google is a powerful tool for businesses that wish to develop effective marketing strategies and stay abreast of the competition. This workshop covers five of the top ones: Google AdSense, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Google Alerts, and Google Keyword Tool.

Bio: Dene Grigar is Professor and Director of The Creative Media & Digital Culture Program at Washington State University Vancouver. She has authored four books and over 50 articles about digital media and has created 14 media works shown international and national festivals and developed locally for SWWA organizations. She has also curated exhibits of media art, mounting shows at the Library of Congress and for the International Symposium on Electronic Art and the Modern Language Association, among other venues. She has been awarded three grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in support of her many projects. She was the 2015 recipient of the Real Hero Honoree “For Exemplary Service to Education.”
