Description

Come to WSU Vancouver's two-day symposium to discuss the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act and the Freedom Summer that spawned it. The symposium will examine the value of interracial unity, coalition building and political education and activism. Part 2: Racial Coalition in 2014? The second day of the two-day symposium will convene with a panel discussion that includes area representatives from NAACP and the Urban League. The program will end with a keynote lecture by Reverend Dr. Donald Matthews: "The Impossible Dream." This event is free and open to all. Located in the Dengerink Administration Building, Room 110.
