Description
Good Governance relies on open and fair elections. A Washington State citizen's group called WAMEND is working on gathering signatures this year to help overturn the 2010 Supreme Court decision in Citizens United. That ruling allowed corporations to obtain the status of "personhood," and equated money with free speech, effectively drowning out the voices of ordinary people. Learn about WaMend's work to get big money out of our politics and to reclaim our democracy. Stay afterwards to learn about signature-gathering.
