Washington Family and Medical Leave (...

Description

You’ve figured out how to deduct the premiums and upload the information to Washington Employment Security (hopefully), now what do you do? This session will review the changes that happened in the 2019 legislative session and the next steps when your employees want to take their leave after January 1, 2020. We will address how Washington Paid Family Leave coordinates with the various Washington leave laws including Paid Sick and Safe, Domestic Violence Leave, Pregnancy with Disability Leave, Military Leave, and Washington Family Leave. We will review which leaves will require you to provide job protection, what policies you should have in place before January 1 and notification requirements to your employees.
