WSU Vancouver Presents ''Boarding Schools Generations''

Description

The evening will open with a unique presentation by tribal representatives and elders from Washington and Oregon giving brief testimony of the varied experiences of Pacific Northwest Native Americans at boarding schools such as Chemawa Indian School in Salem, Ore. The remainder of the evening will be an open forum for members of the local Native American community to tell their personal and family boarding school stories—past and present. This is part two of a two-part symposium. Part one is offered March 30.
