Wednesday Dec 5, 2007
5:30 PM - 5:30 PM PST
Heathman Lodge - 7801 NE Greenwood Dr. Vancouver, WA 98662
No RSVP necessary. We ask that people attending bring a small toy, or basic need item to donate to the "Santa Store" at Fruit Valley. Fruit Valley has roughly 215 children, with 84% eligible for free and reduced lunch. They have a "Santa Store" for parents to come visit, where they put out any donations that come in so the most-in-need parents can discretely come by and "shop" (for free) for an item or two for their little ones. It means a lot to them when they have enough donations to do that. Let's make sure they do again this year! Here's a list of generally needed items: Books for all ages Shoes-sizes Kids 11- Adult size 8 Hats and mittens Coats-all sizes, but primarily boys' Sweatpants-sizes 6-14 Games Personal hygiene things that food stamps can't purchase: toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, fun soaps/shower gel, laundry detergent. As you can see, some of these are just basic needs things, but will absolutely mean the world to kids and their families. More Information: www.youngprofessionalsofvancouver.com
