The Opportunity
Have custodial experience? Are you someone with the ability to organize and prioritize assignments, follow instructions and procedures, and communicate effectively? Consider applying online for our Custodian 1 position at Washington State University Vancouver.
In this role, you will perform custodial tasks to maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene of spaces utilized by students, faculty, staff and visitors to WSU Vancouver. You will also maintain the orderliness of campus facilities, serve as a subject matter expert with coworkers, and represent the university to our vendors.
 
Percentage Breakdown of Job Functions:
60%        Clean, Disinfect, and Maintain Supplies
20%        Floor Maintenance
10%        Equipment Operation
5%          General Duties
5%          Other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
This position works on-site on the WSU Vancouver campus. This position is not eligible for remote/hybrid work assignments.
 
Monthly Salary: $2,889 to $3,239 | Range 32, Steps A to F | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications
Minimum age of 18.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
 
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience in general custodial maintenance.
